Corrections Policy
Accuracy is this site's entire value, so we treat error reports as a priority.
Reporting an error
Use the contact form (subject: "Report an error or correction") or email [CONTACT EMAIL], ideally with the page address and, if possible, a link to the official source showing the correct information.
What happens next
- We verify the report against the current official GOV.UK or nidirect source.
- Confirmed factual errors are corrected promptly — normally within 3 working days of verification — and the page's last-reviewed date is updated.
- Where a correction is significant (a rule, fee or deadline was wrong), a note of the correction is added to the affected page.
- We reply to the reporter with the outcome where contact details were provided.
Out-of-date content
When official rules change, affected guides are updated as described in the editorial policy. If you spot a guide that lags an official change, report it the same way — it is treated as a correction.
