Editorial Policy
This policy describes the standards every guide on changedrivingtest.uk must meet before and after publication.
Sourcing
- Rules, fees, deadlines and processes are stated only when confirmed by a current official source: GOV.UK and DVSA publications for Great Britain, nidirect and DVA publications for Northern Ireland.
- Each guide lists its official sources. Where a detail cannot be confirmed officially, we either omit it or point readers to the official page rather than guessing.
- We do not invent statistics, waiting times, dates or "insider" patterns, and we do not present estimates as facts.
Independence
- We accept no payment from booking services, cancellation-alert tools, driving schools or test-preparation products, and we recommend no unofficial service that accesses the booking system.
- Every action on a booking is linked to the official government service, clearly labelled as external.
Review and updates
- Every guide displays its last-reviewed date. Guides are re-checked against their sources on a rolling basis and immediately when DVSA or the DVA announces changes.
- Errors are corrected under the corrections policy; significant corrections are noted on the affected page.
Writing standards
- Plain English, direct answers first, and only as long as the topic needs.
- Great Britain and Northern Ireland rules are distinguished wherever they differ.
- Author details shown on guides must be genuine; where details are pending verification, clear placeholders are used instead of invented credentials.
